TEACHING WITH THE LONDON SWING CATS
We are currently expanding our classes, courses and events across the London area and are looking for a number of trainee swing dance teachers to join our team.
For successful applicants full training will be provided and you will be running and managing your own classes as part of the London Swing Cats organisation. This is real employment not a franchise system and there are both part time and full time opportunities.
We have a formal training system which will not only teach you how to teach, but will also work on improving your dance skills.
Our ongoing personal development programme is structured so that there is potential for expanding your skills, responsibilities and financial remuneration.
Our unique teaching techniques are based on an understanding of the fundamental rules of swing movement, not simply learning moves through repetition. We believe that our methodology, which we have created, pioneered and perfected over the last 12 years, is the most effective swing dance teaching system in the UK.
Who are we looking for?
Ideally, you would be between the ages of 18-35 with a reasonable knowledge of Lindy Hop and related swing dance styles. (Although, we will consider people from alternative dance backgrounds and indeed people outside this age group.)
You do not need to have learned to dance with the London Swing Cats, but you must be willing to take on board new ideas and be open to new possibilities. You must be fit, healthy, not afraid of hard work and be prepared for an intensive induction, training and even an extended interview process.
